Who can see and edit what
Everything in a space is visible to every member. Permissions decide who can change things, and roles give some people more.

Everything in a space is shared with everyone in it. Every member can open every song and setlist. What differs is who is allowed to change things, and that is controlled by permissions.
Who sees what
- Members: see all songs, setlists, files and messages in the space. By default they can add and edit songs and invite people, but not create or edit setlists.
- Owner: the person who created the space. The owner can do everything, and is the only one who can manage the subscription, transfer ownership or delete the space.
There is no public or guest link. Someone has to be a member of the space to see anything in it.
The six permissions
Permissions live under Space settings (click the space name at the top of the sidebar) on the Roles tab. You need the Manage roles permission to open it, and Manage space to change the defaults.
- Manage space: edit the space name, description and avatar. Off by default.
- Manage roles: create, edit and delete roles. Off by default.
- Manage songs: add, edit and remove songs. On by default.
- Manage setlists: create, edit and delete setlists, build the plan, and assign people. Off by default.
- Create invitations: invite new members. On by default.
- Delete user: remove members from the space. Off by default.
Set the defaults
Select Everyone in the roles list and switch the permissions every member should have. A common change is turning on Manage setlists so the whole band can edit the running order.
Give some people more
Roles add permissions on top of the defaults. They never take anything away.
- Click + Create role and give it a Role name and colour, for example Musical director.
- Switch on the extra permissions on the Settings tab.
- On the Members tab, click Add Member and pick who gets the role.
Changes are not saved until you click Save changes in the bar that appears at the bottom.
